Recaro seats
does anyone in the group know what model Recaro seats were installed in the early 2000 model year XK8"s? Is this seat available from a Recaro dealer?
would the current seat rails bolt right up or would modifications be necessary?
I find the current seats do not supply much support and if there are other/better alternative I would appreciate hearing of them I do not want to lose the stateliness
of the car but would love to not slide across the seat.

We've had a number of previous posts about members wanting to replace their standard seats with Recaro and looking for used examples. I don't recall reading a post where anyone has found an alternative to sourcing them from a Jaguar and therefore assume they must have been made specifically for Jaguar and are not a Recaro stock item.

The XK8 Recaro seats are a Recaro done modification of the standard jaguar seats. If you strip them down the frame is almost identical with just a few small differences. Since it is not really a Recaro design, I doubt a dealer would have them.
