Default Recycle yard in SW Florida selling Jaguar Parts

Hi all. I need some small parts for my Jaguar XK8 that are pretty costly for their size. Does anyone know of any recycle yards in SW Florida where they may have Jaguar parts for my car? Thanks

you may want to PM forum member Autobahn kid in So Fla as he has been dismantling a few. I have been able to get parts from him at reasonable costs.

Don't know what parts you are looking for, but this wrecker in Jacksonville (I know it's not SW Florida) is dismantling a 2001 XKR. I picked up a window regulator for $US45.

I have looked everywhere online, from wrecking yards to [insertnamehere]jaguarparts.com, to no avail, trying to find the button for the Sport Mode bezel transmission switch. All I need is the plastic snap-on part with the letter 'S' on it, for Sport Mode; the rest of the switch is in place and functional, yet without the cover plate, it broadcasts spires of blue and red light into the cockpit. I also need to track down two of the four, or five, 'vanity covers' that hide the recessed screw holes on the bulkhead below the windshield wipers, they are rectangular, with easily breakable tabs on either side, and measure ~1" X 1.5". I don't mean to sound picky, but I think it devalues a vehicles overall appearance from immaculate to kinda junky looking when parts are noticeably missing, and these parts are highly visible.

I think I may have already called Jaguar about this, not sure as I called for a couple of different parts, but I seem to remember a quote of ~$398.00, but that could have just been the charge for a replacement remote/fob, minus the programming fee of course. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Unless you find a spare cap the switch is available from SNG Barratt for $65 which is alot for just needing a cap piece, I may have a spare I'll look tomorrow but here's the link SNG Barratt - The Ultimate Jaguar Parts Specialist

Thanks jamdmyers, I followed the link to the site, and saw the two switches available. However, if I were to go that route, and subsequently end up buying the whole assembly for the cap, I would have to buy the $150 assembly, because the switches differ from 2002 to 2003, but use the same 'cap'. So, I would retain the switch for a backup, but I would have to buy the one that I could use in my car should my switch fail at some point, and I agree, $150 is allot for a cap, and a backup switch I may never use.

My 2004 Xk8 was missing 2 of lower windshield screw covers, I got them from Jaguar dealership, stock item. Don't remember the cost but no big deal.
