Hello, Have read lots of links on the remote problems can't see mine.

sorry if this is already covered,

When i lock/unlock i must be in one foot of the drivers door, it works quick and does all functions, but step away and it does not see the signal, changes batteries in remotes and new remote, no joy.

Any ideas thanks in advance

 

These batteries are relatively low voltage. Did you try cleaning the battery contacts with a pencil eraser?

If it was no or intermittent performance I'd suggest cleaning the switch contacts on the chassis but the fact she always works at close distance shoots that down.

Just wondering, how much more distance do you get if you touch front end of transmitter to your chin while pressing button. This normally gives great extension of transmission distance. John

 

Is it a Convertible or Coupe, and what Model and Year is the vehicle? The antenna's are in different locations based on the model.
