Default Removing emblem and badges off the XK8?

What is the best way to remove the emblems and badges off the car? I would like to not damage or break them when removing...

Front grill emblem
Two green side oval leapers
Jaguar emblem on boot
XK8 key hole emblem on boot

BODY SHOP,DIRT CHEAP

On mine, they used a heat gun to warm the emblems, a tool like a 90degree pick, precision. Then 3m adhesive remover and a rag to remove residue from the clear. Regardless, jag used so much clear, you can tell the emblems were there.

$40

Past attempts by me have cost clear-coat jobs, I did not have access to a heat gun or that metal 90 degree pick and 3m adhesive remover.

If you don't have a heat gun, you can use dental floss to separate the badge from the car and then goo gone to remove the leftover adhesive.

Are the green oval leapers on the sides just sticker emblems as well, no bots etc?

You probably do not want to remove those. There is a hole there for side marker lights used in non-US markets.

The Front Bumper Badge is both glued and secured with a star washer (see item 3):

(click on the image to enlarge it)

There is also a circular hole through the Bumper visible when it is removed.

I was just going to use a hot air gun to remove all the emblems and replace the:

Front emblem with this winged one

Green side leapers with the same ones, just in black (couldn't copy pic)

Left boot Jaguar one with this leaper

Right boot keyhole XK8 with this one

-

Think I will have any issues?
