replacing dash lights

You need to remove the J-gate surround and the center console. Then just remove the screws retaining the unit. See Sam's videos: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...minutes-60147/
The backlight lamp is plug-in repaceable ...the driving light LEDs are not. Those driving light LEDs are actually green and yellow and rather dim. Turn your headlights on and your dash brightness to max. and then further until it clicks (little knob on the left of the streering column) to make sure those LEDs are really out.
If those LEDs are really blown you have a few choices:
-Get a new or used replacement module
-Solder in new LEDs yourself
-PM me for details, I have replaced the LEDs on a couple of these for other folks for a nominal cost.
