Requesting JTIS for lower rad hose ‘04 4.2 XKR
Can anyone provide me with the JTIS for removing the lower radiator hose of a 2004 4.2 XKR? Specifically, I need to remove the hose that connects to the smaller radiator that is just behind the bumper cover. It is inaccesible from the engine bay.
I see no way to access it without either removing the bumper cover or the bonnet.
Should I remove the bumper cover or the bonnet or
is there another way?
I would also like to replace my radiator drain plug. Must I buy the $21 JLM20622 or can a universal plug work?

After looking through the JTIS it doesn't mention how to get to the hose. It also mentions removing the radiator, which I am not going to do. It seems the easiest way for me is to remove the bonnet and work with that. Since the hose is on backorder at both Welsh and SNG, I'm going to leave it as is until it arrives. In the meantime, I will be covering everything up to prevent corrosion.
On that note, when I called SNG Barrat the employee told me that the $56 aftermarket hose is made by Eurospare. Is that a trustworthy brand? Christmas shopping hit me hard and paying $165 for the OEM is out of the question. Welsh has it for $65 but I'm waiting back on their call. Patrick said he's going to check his suppliers to see if it he can source it quicker so I don't have to wait for the backorder.

I think it's not much different than my XK8, and looks difficult without removing the fan shroud. I recall doing it on my 97, and I ended up cutting the clamp with a dremel wheel and replacing it with a screw clamp.
As to hose quality, I'm not too hot on Eurospares or Uro, but at the same time I don't think the OEM is necessarily the same as when the car was built.
