Hello friends,

I’ve bit the bullet, and decided to begin my hunt for an XKR.

Preferentially, I’d want a later model 4.2L, simply because I like the power increase (though if any of you fine people can make a strong case for the 4.0L, I’m all ears), the one drawback for me is the commonality of the navigation screen.

While I appreciate that the screen was necessary for Jaguar to remain current, it lost that sense of “occasion” by losing those dials. Is it possible, if I purchased a newer car, that I could retrofit those dials and replace that screen?

Ashton,
With a little luck you might find what you want stock, I did. All US XKR models came with nav however it was an option on Canadian XKRs.
My 2003 XKR [black coupe] has 20" BBS Detroits, Handling Package, Brembo brakes, Recaro seats and three gauges. It came with all options but nav!! I got a copy of the vehicle display printout a few years ago from MCL [Vancouver Jag dealer] as proof.
Good luck in your hunt.
Chris

Check out the Jag Wrangler. He has a conversion kit as well as refurbished gauges. You'll need new veneer panel(s). Great guy and a forum member.

Not all U.S. XKRs have NAV.
One of my 2000 XKRs has NAV and the other DOES NOT.

My Anthracite XKR has the 3 gauge setup.(from the factory)
