Default Reuse bushes shell casings?

Due to an excess of tests (I haven't seen sunlight in 4 days; I now seem to live in the library) , I haven't been able to find any free time to replace the lower control arm bushes, ball joints, steering rack bushes and tie rod ends. At this point, I'm desperate enough to consider paying a shop to do the work.

Sorry, mini rant over.

I have been wondering if I must reuse the original bush's shell casings for the lower control arm bushes when replacing them with Powerflex's polyurethane bushes?

That's enough procrastinating for me. I have a pharmacology test coming up in 6 hours.

The metal outer is part of the bush, not a casing for a bush to sit in so, as RaceDiagnostics says it is not used.

Just to prepare you, the lower arm bushes are a hell of job to remove. Push out the core with press or C clamp, cut though as much as you can with a hack saw, then hammer in a chisel.

That is great! There's less pressure to remove the old bushings intact that way. Hammering away at it seems like a much needed stress relief. I just wonder when I will get to it? I have a couple of tests on Monday, one for Endodontics, the other for Pediatric Dentistry, and then a test on Friday on fixed prosthodontics.

Default Saturday is stress relief

...... after all your exams, spend Saturday with the hammer and chisel. That'll relieve the stress levels.... and it'll be a bit of a work out too.
Always thought demolition and tear downs were more fun than building back up.....
