Default Rims Jaguar XJ Daimler serie 3 mk1 1976-1992

Wil rims of a Jaguar XJ Daimler serie 3 mk1 1976-1992 fit my 2003 XKR?
I can buy winter tyres on rims.

Is your car an X350 ? If it is, then be careful as the suspension on the XJ Series 3 is totally different to the Ford-based X350, so the wheel centres off-set may be different. Both are a 5-stud fixing so should fit, but one never knows until one tries it, again one is Jaguar original, the other is Ford dimensions. Clearly the older wheels are far narrower and take 205 or 215 VR 15 tyres, so should fit the wheel arches OK if everything else pans out.

Edit
Check out the legal position too, as the older wheels are totally non-standard. OK, you just want to fit a set of winter tyres, but some countries road-testing certification can be very pedantic.

Sven,

I have moved your post from the forum for the X350 to the forum for the X100, which is the Jaguar factory code for your 2003 XKR. Here you will find knowledgeable owners of similar cars.

Cheers,

Don
