On the road again
I was going to wait until Easter but,,, the Jag has been in hibernation for about four months. She Lives! Pulled the car cover, disconnected the battery tender, checked all fluids and tire pressures, fired her up and did a slow drive around the neighborhood to let things warm up. Looked good so we did a little 100 mile round trip over to Lake Michigan and back. Life is good.

I was suffering from withdrawal pangs. You're surrounded by water, How bad was/is your winter and when does it end up there? Spring will get there soon and you will be on the road again, too.

I had to replace the battery in my xk8 over the weekend. Then I took my dog out for a short ride on Sunday afternoon. Then I drove in to work on Monday (80 mile round trip). It was sunny and the temperature was in the fifties, so it was llike English Summer. We have rain now, so I left the xk8 in the garage until the weather gets nicer.
It was great fun to take the car out and drive it again!!!!!
@ Scottsgreenjag : We have a a fairly typical 'maritime' climate i.e. the water smooths out large temperature differentials. It rarely goes below -15c and rarely goes above +25c , but because we are far north and don't benefit from the Gulf Stream like the UK, winter arrives early and leaves late. The forecast is for light snow tomorrow It's also quite windy. A "calm" day here is 30 kph, a nice sunny summer day it's often 50+ kph and nobody even starts to get concerned until sustained wind speed passes 100 kph
The sun is out this afternoon, couldn't wait any longer brought the girl out of hibernation and drove back to work this afternoon. We had some rain so the salt is off the road. Never had a car that nagged me to go out for a run before this one.
