Seat back locked/released microswitch purpose and effect?
I've got my seat out and am butchering it, and during removal I did break the tiny connector going to a microswitch that is positioned to determine if the seat back is locked upright, or it's released to let someone get into the back seats.
Does anyone know what effects this switch has? Like a warning light maybe? Or making something like the adjusters won't move maybe? I know I'll find out if I don't fix it and put it back together, but just wanting to know now.

I just tested it and it is open circuit when the seat is up and locked. It closes the circuit when the seat is released to get in back. So seems like it would work fine if I just left it as is - since I'll never put anyone back there. Maybe it triggers an auto-slide forward when you release the seatback? Just a guess.
If your car has headrests then it's part of the logic for those.
It might be worth checking the wiring diagram to see if the switch is present on the earlier cars which had the fixed headrests to see if it does anything else. Airbag deployment maybe?
