My passenger seat back will not release when you move the toggle lever at top of seat to let someone in back seat? any ideas how to check.

 

Check by symmetry on the driver side. From memory, it is a simple thin/bicycle steel cable pulling on a catch. Either the cable is detached at the bottom or at the top, I suppose. If you search for the headrest fix (involving the motored cable), it explains how to un-hook the leather cover at the bottom, and roll it up along the back rest for access. Resist the urge to go and do too much hacking around the plastic cover for this lever as I believe some colors are becoming very hard to find.

Thanks Yes I looked closer today. 1 of 2 cables had been pried out of hole it seats in. Plus they had try to caulk glue plastic covers over track and seat hinge.
seat works fine now but plastic black covers zip tied for now. Easy fix just had not looked hard to get down there.
