Default Seat covers

New convertible person here. Wondering what people do to protect the seats from the heat of the sun when you leave your car with the top down. I am worried about the hot seats when we leave it open for a short term while we do running around. Thanks in advance.

Have had the Mistress 10 years and never worry about it - top is down 90% of the time here in SC and temps can top 100F. Enjoy the car

Something to consider. (we refused to install covers on seats with side airbags when I worked at the dealer)

You can drape them with light-colored large beach towels. Cheap, easy, and the surfaces will be cooler when you return to the car....

I too have been looking for a light drivers seat cover. I had one in my Corvette with light color seats simply to protect my seat from oily skin, sweat from hot southern days, simple light dirt in the air and possibly on my clothes...it did not block or impede side air bags . My seats looked new and I only needed the one. It was very thin and light material causing no damage as many heavy fitted covers would. I have light Dove seats in my XKR that again look new. These seats in our cats seem to look like hell quickly and easily especially light colors. I don't leave my top down very often because of my light interior. I'd much rather keep it ckean vs constantly ckeaning it so I am also looking for a drivers light cover. I don't want it installed, just there for above mentioned and thin lightweight. I have noticed even the fitted ones, many are made to not impede side airbag deployment, purposefully and noted as such. Unfortunately Ive not found what im looking for. Most are too heavy, too costly, to installed and to rough on my new looking leather. This was my cover, very light but protects.

Thanks. That’s a great idea. Nice and easy.
