Default Seat release cover plate replaement options

I remember a while back someone saying they replaced the long discontinued cover for the seat back release. Wanna say they used a vw or something but I can't find the thread. Anybody remember what it was or have a link to the thread? I just shattered my long since broken and reglued drivers side cover.

I believe they used a 3-D printer. I'll look for the post and insert a link if I find it.

What year car do you have?

I have a 2003, and I tried Ford, Saab, and BMW with no real luck. 1997 models have a 3D model, so I can 3D print them, but I never got a model for mine. I ended up buying a set of seats from a wrecker and salvaging them (I repainted using SEM).

I can 3D print the airbag screw cover for the escutcheon.

Search my name and you should see more on my failed adventures.

I believe this was for the 1997 style escutcheon. Very different design from the later version.
