Yeah, been there. Also, when you purchase a second hand replacement, that will also be aged and brittle...

I always take my time when buckling and unbuckling the seat belts. Easy does it....

Has anyone had experience with the Octoclassic replacements? $80 each (on sale) seems like a lot for a piece of plastic.

Are there any other universal replacement seat belt buckle covers out there? I know the front seats have touchy wiring and controls, but this was from my rear seat bench.

I知 not opposed to removing the belts and buckles completely back there. That痴 option #2 if I can稚 find a reasonable replacement.

 

I purchased the seat back release and surround for getting in the back seat (for luggage, not sitting). The parts are expensive. But fwiw, the fit was great and they appear similar to factory. Mine came in grey, so I primed and painted them. I felt it was better to buy these than pay half as much for used ones that would likely break as well.

the shipping charges were quite costly. I called them, order the 4 parts together and they combined the shipping at least.
