Default Semi-permanent Sun Visor Removal: Flame On

The sun visor cuts out, maybe 20% of my field of view. I find, when Iswing the visor out toward the window, forward visibility is improved. I don't need the visor since the windshield surround works great at that. I don't need the vanity mirror since I'm not putting on makeup in the car, or anyplace else for that matter. So, I got to thinking: Would it be possible to unscrew the visor mounts, tuck the wire back into the windshield headliner and put some dummy plugs to fill int the gaps? Has anyone tried it? I'd think it could all be reversed if it angers the OEM Jaguar Gods.

Thanks.

Paul

Your visor obstructs your vision even in the upright position?? How tall are you?

With the exception of my S Type..all of the vehicles we've owned (that I was the primary driver of) have had the rear view mirrors removed. I'm just shy of 6'-4" and the rear view mirror obstructs my view more than anything else.[&:]

Umm, only 6'1". Maybe I'm freakishly long waisted.

Just a guess though, that the S type has more headroom than the XK8. If it weren't a convertible, I wouldn't be driving an XK8 from this generation. (The new one though...when the time comes, a coupe for sure.)
