Shifting into park: an annoying click
Not to annoying, just worrisome.
But it doesn't just make the noise only then, but also during parking manuevers, stopping, going into reverse, stopping, then shifting into drive, that type of thing. Not all the time just occassionally.
My shop has told me the drive-shaft has looked good for years. I'm wondering if this is a differential issue, or the safety-brake clutch. I haven't tried to see if putting it in sport mode hushes the noise since that would eliminate the clutch from the equation, or if I just happen to hear it in covered areas with lowered windows. Any other ideas?
