Shipping 03 XK8 from Hawaii to North Carolina any issues

Auto head lamps OFF, A/C OFF and radio OFF - everything that can cause drain.
A new battery could be OK for two weeks but not if they leave the key in the ignition. Jaguar use a Transit Relay on the battery +ve terminal when shipping vehicles to prevent battery issues.
Unfortunately these are removed at the original PDI and discarded so getting hold of one is going to be impossible. Just have to accept it's likely to need jumping.
Take a detailed set of photos (interior and exterior) just before you hand it over and inventory everything in the tool kit.
If you have both remotes and master keys - keep one set. Several reports on the forum of keys going missing in the care of a carrier.
Can I ask how much it costs to ship a car from HI to the East Coast?

Ok answers to all..
Yes moving to NC, expect to ship the Jag mid-July. Final location is still not determined, depends on wife's job search I'm retiring but Eastern NC somewhere around the Goldsboro/Kinston/Greenville area. That's where the grand kids are. Hope to meet some forum members after I get settled in, will join the Carolina Jag Club.
Costs $2200 all in Maui to door delivery in Kinston area, appx 4 weeks total transit time. Fortunately my Jag sits for two to three weeks now with no battery issues. So hoping it will make the trip OK.
Plan to print out the parking brake instructions as well as instructions to not leave the key in the ignition and tape them on the dash. Hoping they will also lock it. When it gets to West coast I've been assured it will stay on the same trailer all the way to delivery, no transfers.
Yes have two sets of keys and remotes plus valet, trunk lock works good.
Rothwell, I can't believe you remembered that offer, it still stands. The Apollo rims are in rough shape, mostly chrome flaking some curb rash. Don't think they will fit in the trunk but may have room in my container if you really want them otherwise may just dispose of them on Maui, let me know.

Those rims are fairly rare so worth saving if they are not bent or cracked.
I can remove the chrome easy enough. And I have access to high tech powder coating facilities at work.
A guy I work with travels all over NC regularly so I am sure I can get him to pick them up once you are settled and bring them to FL.
If you can find room I will take a shot at restoring them.

Years ago, I shipped an MGB from Bayonne, New Jersey to Morocco, and then a Mercedes from Stuttgart, Germany back to Bayonne. In both instances, the shipboard rats chewed up the plastic windshield washer lines for the antifreeze.
If ever I ship another car, I will be sure to purge the windshield washer fluid completely from all the lines.
It’s not a pleasant thought, but rats may be crawling under the hood of your car (and any other accessible spot) looking for food and drink.
