Can you still get Wayne’s? I need to replace mine and maybe springs and shocks. Do big brakes, require different shocks? Mine is really low I need to figure out what to do. Good info thanks
How can I help you Eric?
What is your location, as Jon and I are not too far from each other, making a one day fix possible in most cases.
So I have a issue maybe I'm doing something wrong but how am I supposed to when I remount the struts twist the shock so it's lined up so I can bolt it back in. When I run the bolts up top the three top hat bolts the bottom mount was not line up how can I twist that with all this pressure
Take the pressure off the top three nuts, let the strut hang down between the area the bottom bolt goes through the strut.
You should be able to get a #2 Phillips head screwdriver (large) in the hole. Spray some WD 40 or such on the bottom spring holder. Now, lets see what you got, push or pull it into place. With the spring extended and the top loose, not that much pressure on that mount.
Lesson learned, pay attention to the position when taking it apart and get it as close as you can.
Yeah all I needed was a longer heavier screwdriver. I was already trying to to do that but I guess I just wasn't giving it enough gusto, I got it all is good.
I got the struts in. In fun I gathered from that chart the lower shock bolt should be torqued to about 80 and the tops the top hat bolts at 30. I'm waiting for my square bar links to show up and new front pads. These pads are new but they are horribly bad for dust they must be some cheap ones I don't know.

The top mount needs to be "clocked" with the bottom bushing. You will need to use spring compressor to relieve some pressure and rotate to correct position.
I was finally able to get the front end work done, Wayne's Mounts, check...Brake pads and sway bar links finally showed up and installed check.....Rims cleaned and two coats of ceramic applied,,now still waiting on the replacement tire. Now a n ew issue. I started the car just to drive it back and forth on the driveway and its in fail safe mode,,no idea why. My only thought is the car hasn't been started for over a week and the battery may be a bit weak. I put a trickle charger on it last night and this morning it was still showing not fully charged so I am hoping that is all it is. I am really anxious to drive the car with the new mounts and take some measurements for front ride height. The front brake pads I took off there was most of the pad life left but they made so much frikin dust so I bought wagner ceramic thermoquite ones. Funny though the ones I removed were labeled "JAGUAR"
