Sorry to be a bit of a pain, but my garage has told me that my XKR needs 2 replacement front shocks, but they cannot source them...

I wonder if anyone can tell me which part # I need, as it looks like it's a bit of a minefield in terms of making sure you get the correct shock for the job!

My Jag is a 2003 (reg Jan 2003) XKR R rated 4.2L Supercharged

Its VIN # is A33544

I thought initially that the part # was MXD2140AA but having read a few posts, I am not sure anymore.

Any help would be great, and I don't suppose anyone knows where to source a couple of decent priced ones for the UK too please?

So, is it the MXD2140AB I require (not the AA) as this looks like it indicates it is for the R-performance variant?

That link also lists the part as for the XK8 R-performance variant...would the XKR R-performance variant be the same shock?

Looks like very much to be MXD2140AB. Better to ask from them with your VIN.

Fantastic, thanks...It was just getting tricky to make sure 100% that I had identified the actual part number, but it sure does look like it's the AB variant.
