First determine which belt. Just take of the supercharger belt, and start it from cold of course wihtout the belt, then you know where to focus.

yes both belts have tentioners..you have to take the sc belt off first to get to the main belt..top hose and fans out first step ..bit of a long job

Dennisw,
The top hose and fans don,t have to be removed to remove belts, tensioner on S/C belt has square drive recess, read instructions on JTIS . If you have a problem I dont live for from you, drop me a PM

No need at all to take the full SC belt of (and fans/coolant pipes) forgot to mention as I never do this myself…

You can take the tension of the belt and take it of the SC pulley. Secure the belt so there is no tension on it and can’t get entangled into the other belt. Start the car and voila, you'll know where to focus on.

You actually have a big risk when detaching the coolant hoses to spill coolant on the hose, and that actually can cause it to get squeaky too.

Then I think it would be good to also check the TSB 303-59 “FRONT END ACCESSORY DRIVE BELT 'CHIRP' NOISE”, yours falls in between the cars affected.

It doesn’t mean you are affected, but you should check the action below for just in case.

If you let me know you private mail address I can send the TSB to you.

Summary:
This Technical Bulletin has been issued to address customer complaints of a 'chirping' noise coming from the Front End Accessory Drive (FEAD) belt caused by a misalignment of the drive belt.

Action:
On a customer complaint basis only a new revised FEAD belt tensioner and a new FEAD belt should be installed and the Air Conditioning (A/C) compressor locating dowel checked for correct installation.
If the A/C compressor locating dowel is not protruding by at least 3.2mm, a new A/C compressor/PAS pump bracket should also be installed.
If a new A/C compressor/PAS pump bracket is installed the A/C compressor should then be checked to ensure that the dowel hole is not worn out-of-round. If the hole is out-of-round then a new A/C compressor should also be installed.

It would have been a waist to use the Sledgehammer already on something like this, there are far more challenging potential issues worthy of the thought
