Slow moving rook
The roof will open and close only with some help from me, that is, I need to manually push it open or close. Also moves slowly when it starts opening and closing. Any suggestions on what is going on? P.s. I did get a new battery thinking that would solve the problem - not!
It would help if we knew what year the car is and how many miles. If the reservoir has green fluid but the level is low check for fluid in front of the rear wheels at the bottom of the rocker panel.
Definitely check the fluid and if low check the main rams leaking. While you are in there checking the fluid make sure the bypass valve is fully closed. The valve is a mall rod with a T-type handle on the pump. If it isn't full closed clockwise it will bypass pressure when the pump is operating.
Btw, I wondered about speed to close when I got mine. Folks on this site taught me that specs call for it to open or close within 20 seconds of pushing the button. I typically see a count of 15.
