Cool Snow tire help in Michigan

Hello,

I'm looking for some advice/help on picking out winter tires for my 2007 XK coupe. I've read some previous posts re: continentals and blizzaks. I've seen the Nokian, never heard of them, and Bridgestone Blizzaks, again. Not many choices for the vehicle. Sorry to duplicate a post if it has been discussed but I could not fin too much help on the subject. Thank you in advance for any ideas or suggestions. Chris

I've had Bridgestone Blizzaks on several cars and really like them. The Nokian Hakkapeliittas are a great tire too. I live in Grand Rapids, MI so we get a decent amount of snow.

Chris,
Can't beat the Nokian, best winter tire out there. However they are very pricy. I put the Blizzaks on all my winter cars. Tire Rack has the right ones for your Jaguar. Have you thought of putting the Jag away for the winter and buying a beater? Jags don't like salt and even with the best tires RWD and horsepower aren't a good winter combination. I drive a Honda CR-V until the snow melts, makes spring that much sweeter.

Goodyear Wranger A/T...on my Jeep Cherokee I used to need the ground clearance in order to make it to work, now I just don't want to deal with rust creeping up, so my baby gets packed away for winter.

As a Michigander, I ran 17" Blizzacks on my Porsche 928 and also on my former Jag v-6 s-type last year and don't remember getting stuck except when I did something really stoo-pid. Just bought 4-18" Blizzack LM-32's from Discount Tire ($1275.00) for my Jaguar s-type R and wouldn't buy anything else.
