Spacers
So I don't have a long list of things I would like to do the XK, but I would like to bring it down a bit, and unsink the wheels as I really prefer a more flush look.
I am just curious if anyone is running spacers and figured out the right size to get this done. Thanks in advance!

I'm looking at this, too, using wheel adapters and widening the stock rear wheels 2" and rolling the fender lips.
I'm going to try 1.25" adapters first but then try a little more in back with the widened wheels.
hub-centric XK8 Adapters are only $100 USD shipped of E-bay for a set of 4.

My XK8 has the 1.25 wheel adapters on each side, because the Dayton wires I bought had a different bolt pattern. Be aware though, that the further the wheels come out from the car, the lower the car will sit, because the springs are working harder. It is a softer ride. You are also putting more strain on the wheel bearing.
Since no one makes a taller(stronger) front spring for the car, I installed rubber spring rings at the base of each spring, to keep the ride height correct, at least how I thought it should be. You can buy those spring rings at most auto parts stores, like Autozone.
You may as well buy new shocks and upper mounts at the same time, because you will need to disassemble the whole works to install the spacers at the base of the springs.....Good Luck.......Mike
