Default Springs for convertible top pump modification.

A few years ago, I worked up a mod for the convertible top pump. It reduces peak hydraulic pressure by replacing a spring in a regulating valve inside the pump. There's a description in my sig. line below.

I've been supplying people with the required springs, but having sold my XK8 some months ago I'd like to sort of back away from that. I have a few springs left and will send one upon request, until they're gone.
After that ... the required spring can be purchased from a retail vendor (see the mod description) but not in small quantities. Maybe someone here would be willing to buy a batch of springs and make them available to other forum members ??

Good luck to you all with your beautiful XK8s and XKRs. And many thanks to all the forum members who helped me with my own cars ... I had two XK8s, my daily drivers for over a decade.

Dennis,

We will miss your valuable contributions to the XK8 forum, but best of luck to you with whatever you replaced your XK8 with....

Thanks, Jon. Always enjoyed working with you. No replacement, I'm afraid ... too many projects; too little time and space.

The springs I had available are all spoken for now.

If you sent me a PM, I'll be replying to let you know whether I'll be sending you one.

The instructions for this modification are shown in the "pressure reducer" link in my sig. line below. The required spring is part S3205 from Century Spring Corp. but they are not set up for orders of one or a few springs, at least that was the case last time I talked with them.

Dennis, thank you for leaving the information needed for this up grade.
I'm sure it will be used for many years to come.
Hope your next journey will give you as much pleasure.

Default Conv Hydraulic Pump Springs

I contacted them and they're taking single orders.I ordered several, with shipping as much as the springs!
No big deal.

Disregard, I'll just call the correct company. I didn't even search the correct website.

That's good news. What is the price for a single spring?
Last time I bought from them, it was a dollar and change for each one, at quantity 50. (If I remember right)

Default Spring price

$1.53, I think. Shipping is about the same.
I have 2 cars to fix, possibly another so I ordered several. Shipping notice came next morning but mail here isn't running (TN had a blizzard here) so I haven't received them yet.
