Default Squeaking, screaching, creaking--Resolved

After several weeks of an extremely annoying squeaky, creaky, screaching sound coming out of the driver's side front end that we thought was coming from poly bushings in need of lubrication, we seem to have finally resolved the noise with the replacement of a ball joint. Picked the car up yesterday, and everything seems back to normal. Now, we'll do the passenger side as well, I first wanted to make sure of the cause. Finally some peace and quiet.

I've seen them on ebay for as little as about $35. However, I was out of town for a wedding when my mechanic figured out it was a ball joint, and I believe he paid about $70. Jaguar will not sell the ball joint without the whole arm, but I believe he told me it is the same one used on the XJR and he was able to order that piece alone. I should get the bill tomorrow, and I'll know exactly what it cost.
