Squeeling when cold
It could also be idler or tensioner pulley, even harmonic balancer, water pump, alternator. A stethoscope is handy for locating the source. Also try removing the SC belt to eliminate that system.
Go to the auto parts store in your neighborhood and get a spray can of belt dressing. Start the car and give the belt a one second squirt where it leads into a pully. if the squealing doesn't stop...it's not the belt
I agree. The belt tensioner may have lost its tension/spring that keeps the belt tight. If the pulley bearings are going bad, this is easily identified with a mechanic's stethoscope (fairly inexpensive in the auto parts store). You should hear a definite difference between the bad pulley and the others when listening with it. It will have a grinding/rumble sound.
