Hey xw, I will have some pictures soon of my latest project...similar to you, i got a 10-inch JL audio sub in a fiberglass enclosure, wrapped in vinyl, and it is anchored to my rear jumpseat behind the driver. I'll start a new post in the audio/video section in the next few days, so you may want to subscribe to new threads in that area, as not to miss it. I hope it will be my last attempt at getting some good bass in the car.

ps, I can't spell

Mine were shot so I installed a pair of JL Audio 6W0-4ohm. Here is the culprit.... Now I know why they call it a 'blown' speaker. gordo

Here's what I did with a new 10-inch sub...and put component speakers where the old subs were. It sounds good, I think.

The flash is pretty harsh on the color of the vinyl, but it is pretty close to the dove grey in regular lighting.

More to come later in a longer article with more details and pics/videos. I still have to fix the rear backrest of the seat from the prior install. One week to finish it.

Well that does give new meaning to theterm 'bass driver'.

The 6W0's sound way better than the flutter of broken cones. As I was installing and testing them... I could help but think a little more air compression of a big 10" wouldn't be a bad thing. It is easy tosee how one canget caught up in the upgrades.

I was looking at the center of the backseat, towards the top... up high between therear bulkhead and a lateral brace. There is agap between the two.I am sure you looked at that location also.
