supercharger clean and rebuild
Hi all,
Im changing valley hoses on a 2000 xkr 90k miles ; since the supercharger is out would like to do at least front end rebuild and re-pack the rear bearings. so ive ordered the front snout kit, got the grease and have a 12 ton press. got some question if the other members can advise, first question on removing the screws or rotors to repack the rear bearings- is there any specific timing mark or sequence that I need to put them back same so both are in sync with engine ? I saw some post that the screws have sort of timing that needs to be maintained - not sure. Cleaning- whats the best way to clean the whole assembly ? ive seen posts on not doing because it may harm the coating; do all cars have coating on the screws ? and finally- how difficult would you say it is to do the replace the rear cup bearings? Thanks for any help on this.
