Thanks for the advice, I normally avoid Ebay but needs must so I looked on the UK website and found this which is being sold by a company which rebuilds superchargers so its bound to be the right bit. 🤞

Thanks again.

The new plug arrived today so I changed the oil but the supercharger is still whingeing, the oil I took out was pretty clean too.
As previously advised Powerhouse UK will rebuild it for £350, is that pretty much my next step?

Phil,
Congratulations! How did you like the smell of that Oil?
I'm not sure where Powerhouse is located....USA or England? But I would drive it a bit and see if it quietens down a little...If it doesn't or if it gets louder...then I would start thinking about a rebuild....Sometimes, according to the mileage....the noise is from the rear Bearings....If so, then it will need to be rebuilt.....Mine has 1,015,000 miles on it with no noise from the Bearings, but that doesn't mean anything in your case....If it doesn't quieten down in a week or two, then it's probably the Rear Bearings....
If you decide to have it rebuilt, look into having it Ported-out and what ever else they can do to it that might make more power! Seems that most of those Guys want to clean-out some of the interior and open it up a little to help it breath better....You might look into that! Let me know what you decide to do...Seems like most of the Guys here in the USA use Stiegemeier.com for rebuilds, but I'm sure that Powerhouse can do about the same thing!

Thanks for the reply Billy the oil smely pretty bad but was not that dirty, when I got the car last year it was a non running which turned out to he a snapped primary chain which pushed the piston in to the valves.
The bonnet (hood) has a round paint peeling spot back to the metal which is directly above the supercharger, its fair to assume the supercharger let go when the chain snapped.
I'll drive it for 50 miles or so in the hope it settles down but a rebuild at Powerhouse UK (England) is on the cards.
Thanks for all the advice.

Hi ! Sorry to bother you about this ... but I own a 2000 XJR Supercharged with 130K. Two Q's ... How many miles when we should change the Supercharged oil ? Do you know if this model has a beeper to open and closed doors ? Thx.
Jaguar2373,,,and Phil m......
Phil, I don't want to be the one that tells you what to do about your S/C (Howl!) but if it's not too loud...I would just let it go for a while!! As I told you, mine has 1,015,000 miles on it and it Howls a little when you really get on it but not so loud that it sound like it is going to come apart....As a matter of fact the sound is pretty neat! I'm going to wait until I have a Heck of alot more noise than now before I decide to send it off for work. There is a bunch of work that will need to be done.to it with all the miles I've got on mine....I will be doing the complete overhaul plus some of the other stuff that they offer at the time! You should consider a complete overhaul if it is way loud!!! But that is according to what you want it to do for you... How far do you live from Powerhouse? You might want to make a little trip and go visit them...See what all they have for you, as you are putting a bunch of Money into it!!!!
