Smile suspension prevent defense ?

Hi Friends ! Having preventive work done on my 1999 xk8........tensioners,water pump and thermostat. the car has just 16,000 miles on it. What is your opinion on having preventive work also done on the suspenison If you do, what in perticular would that include ? i've had the car 6 weeks and under the 1,000 mile warranty the dealer has replaced the lower steering joint w/ anew p/s hose and a sway bar link. Only problem now is the traction/abs message coming on ocassionally......This forum is fun ! I keep thinking of new questions.

I'd get the ABS warning taken care of under that dealer's warranty. Could get expensive.

You are wise to do the tensioners and pump thermostat. With 16,000 your suspension should be OK. Try cleaning your wheel sensors and see if that doesn't clear the Trac/ABS Look in the sticky's and find Rev Sam's video on cleaning them. It's a very easy DIY.

I would get the Owners Manual out and go through each and every feature described to insure proper operation. A seat module can be a $1000 at the dealer.
