tailight trim missing

tailight trim missing
Today I took my XKR to a British car day show and was sitting in my chair behind the car and noticed that a section of the chrome trim around the tailight is missing. Does anyone know is that can be replaced or do I have to buy a new taillight?

What year is it?
Now, It would help if you would identify the year of your Jaguar, which is, I believe a 2001......Little things like Tail Lights changed as the years went by and that change was at 2001. Therefore, if all this is true. You will need to buy a new Right Tail Light....The number is: LJE4900AB and it will cost you about $265.00 Bucks.......! That's TEXAN for Dollars!
Mina Galleries sells a chrome surround for the 1997 thru 2000 but it's not the same lens as your's and would look kind'a funny......If it would fit at all!
In other words there is no repair! Buy Used or Buy New.....

jibsam, The one you ae looking at in the Welch Catalog is different as it is the 3rd Brake Light Lens for a Convertible......

Maybe you should stay away from those Car-Washes that have those BIG Spinning Brushes...... They love to tear everything apart!

Came across these. Probably worth an email to determine L vs R and whether you need to buy both sides because they're slightly different from stock. Good price. Still quite a bit less than $99 even for both plus shipping from UK

Well, that's good......maybe it was a Vandal or a Big Black Bear that did it!
I noticed the advertisements from Adamesh from some of the Guys on the Forum.....What you have on the 2001 is stock Jaguar with the Chrome Trim built as a part of the Tail Light.....What Adamesh has is a Chrome trim that the Guys with the 1997 to 2000 XK's can buy to sort of make the old Tail Light look like the new ones.....You need a used Lens from a 2001 to 2006 XK or XKR from one of the Jaguar wrecking yards on the internet. Go there an see what you can find!
