Default Thanks for the Best Forum on the Net

I did the convertible roof hose replacement this weekend. It took most of the two days but the top is working great now, and thanks to the improved stainless braided hose from Colliflower that Gus was instrumental in developing I shouldn`t have to worry every time I push the top down button in the future. This job would have been a lot harder without the excellent instructions posted by Dr DSP and Gus`s web page instructional photos. This forum is the best source for info and help on our cars and I can`t thank Gus and Dr DSP for making this %#&%@ of a job much easier. Thanks!!

Thank you for taking the time to post your appreciation of the forum here, it really is most welcome

Kudos to all those in the XK section who have no doubt helped / inspired you, especially Gus as you say.

I agree, too! This place is awesome! I got a ton of info from this forum when I was trying to install my Bluetooth. By contrast, when I tried to install an identical Bluetooth in my Expedition, there was NO info available on either of the Expedition forums. I couldn't even find a wiring diagram. I think Jag made about 100,000 XK*s in total. Ford made at least that many Expeditions PER YEAR! But the Jag info is easy to locate (thanks to this forum) and the Expedition info is impossible to come by. That speaks for the camaraderie of the Jag owners. It's like a club, and we're all happy to help each other out.

AGREED - AND THANKS to all for their contributions! It has made owning a wonderful machine a lot more comfortable - even to one who is not the DIY type. DaleD

I have been a member of many car forums over the past 10 years or so, and this is by far the most informative and most pleasant. I have been on here for 9 months and have STILL not witnessed any pointless bickering or name-calling - amazing

P.S. the worst I have been on: BMW and Golf GTI (no surprises there...)

I miss the bickering and name calling

Have to agree though, for a free forum this place has to be one of the best, I hang out here rather than the sister forum of co.uk, at least over here nobody claims my work as there own

Thanks to ALL who've posted here...

The really cool thing about this place is YOU the members that help to make it what it is.

There are really cool guys who hang out, befriend people and help when they can, there's the tech minded gurus, the post a thread with a thousand words and 20 pics that help to sort problems type, the video poster, problem solver etc.....

I'm not going to name names, you all know who you are

Thanks

Default Great Resource

For whatever reason I have had just about every problem imaginable (and some unimaginable weird ones) with my XK8 and the members on this forum have come to the rescue every time. I couldn't imagine owning this car without being able to confer with other owners.

I agree!.....I'm a new member but I've learned so much about caring for this car. In fact, without this forum I may have sold the car with all the problems that were occuring right after purchasing it! By learning the ins and outs of the car I have the confidence that I've done what needed to be done and any future problems can be solved, with the help of my many friends here.......This forum is like living next to a retired jaguar mechanic!!......And I don't even have to shovel his sidewalk when it snows!!!!
