I'd say you did a good job of mixing preventative maintenance with upgrades. Your preventative maintenance ensures that your beautiful car will live on and your upgrades enhance rather that "pimp your ride". Well done,

Mark

Excellent! Sounds like you've had fun with it.

p.s. and I thought I was the only old fart that still called them drop tops.

Forgot to ask. How do you like the rear muffler delete? And do you like the new sound?

Excellent Reb,
You got the big stuff out of the way. My list from last year was very similar. Winters here and my small stuff list is about to start.

A Good guess, I've had convertibles since I was 18. Of course there is a song out and about a Drop Top Cadillac...
My first drop top was a '59 T- Bird. I think it was more like a trunk ( boot) open, top into trunk, filler panel flips down, trunk lid closes, more than just a Drop Top.
My Second convertible is a '72 Buick Skylark. Bought it new, still have it. The scary part is it was not my first new car... Rich

Hey Jag, yes, I do like the rear muff delete. Gives the car just enough rumble. and yes, the " drone" our fellow Jag lovers state is present. Doesn't bother me. Either radio on, window open a little or top down, it is gone. Strange thing is the drone sounds like bad rear diff carrier bearings. Least til you alter the RPM. Rich

Like the color of you Xk. I really lucked out with my car. My XK8 has 50k miles on the odo. I was told the engine was replace with one with only 20k miles. I cound not confirm this. For insurance I had the chains replaced anyway. Saved the parts. All parts were perfect. Not a stress crack or mark anywhere. Oh well... Rich

Just noticed the type bunched together. Sorry all. I did a copy and paste from a word processor and I guess we had a compatibility problem. Rich
