If everyone gave this kind of write up on a repair, it would take a lot of fear in owning one of these cars.
Not that we don't have the opportunity to see about everything there is to know about them, just getting the right question and wording does have a problem for beginners.

Yes indeed, everyone here should get the opportunity to meet Wayne. I first met him in October 2014 and we have gotten together many times since to work on our XK8s as well as my former S-Type, my Ram, and my Subaru. I have not been there since October 2023 and hope to rectify that soon when we get together to finally install a set of his now-famous custom upper shock mounts into his own XK8. He has spent so much time helping all of us that his own car has had to wait its turn....

Will do, Oz. Wayne will pick the date (we don't want to conflict with his golf games). Our goal is to do the job before the miserable summer heat and humidity shows up. We always hit up one of the local BBQ joints for lunch afterwards, so plan on that as well....
