Default throttle body this is nuts

ok I get engine management light engine fault light.
I know probablt the throttlebody.
But I put in some seafoam gas cleaner and changed the air filter drove 100
miles and no code coming on.
Still will bring it to mechanic but if he can't find the code is there anything else on the throttlebody or anything else I should ask him to look for.

I guess i'm struggling with your post..
You are getting a CEL (Check Engine Light), but you can not pull a code from the ECU?
Without a code, why would you assume the throttlebody?

What year is your car, and is it an R or not?

Default Throttlebody

I did get a code yesterday P1226 and that is throttle body.
I had just filled my tank and within 20 miles I got engine management poor performence.
I then got some seafoam to see maybe it was water in tank.
Ok i drive it light still on. Today I drive it 100 miles no poor perfromance
drove great. so if the code was throttle body how could a gas cleaner fix the problem.

So is it a XK (Single air filter) or XKR (dual Air Filters).

I understand the XKR can be tempermental over air filters....

Stingray...you are posting in the wrong forum. You have a '97 and this forum is for '07 and later.

Also, please stop opening new threads. This is your 4th thread on the same problem. This is only causing confusion and will not get you help any faster.
