Default Timing Chains, tensioners, etc. How-To ?

I've searched the forum (and the web) for a single source of instruction for replacing the timing chains, primary and secondary tensioners, and chain guides on my '99 XK8 coupe. She has 77,XXX miles on her and I haven't yet pulled the cam cover to see if the secondary tensioners are original plastic or metal replacements. Since I plan to keep her for a long time, I'm going to do a complete replacement of the chains, guides and tensioners regardless.
So I'm looking for some instructions. I've searched the forum and there is one source on the forum with instructions for a sedan chain replacement but the photos are dead links. There are several good secondary tensioner replacement videos and written "how-to" postings with photos that I've found on this forum, but I cannot find a single site, preferably with photos or video links, that shows how to replace primary and secondary chains and tensioners. I am also going to replace the water pump and thermostat housing, thermostat and spark plugs. I have the gaskets for the front engine plate and the cam covers (with spark plug donuts, etc.) and the cam locking tool kit.
Does such a site exist? Where can I find it?
Also, when I disconnect the battery to do the work, will I need the radio code when the job is done? If so, I don't have the code. Can I get it somewhere?

Start here:

Untitled Document

This has been the standard for full timing chain/tensioners how-to for years and there is not much difference in the XK8/R and the 308 series sedans.

Default radio code

On the radio code. My does not require it on disconnect, but my buddies came up CODE. We found the 4 digit code written in his service manual, up in a corner. So have a look round in your books or glove box for a 4 digit number that doesn't make any sense of why it's there.

Most of US cars do not have the radio security code implemented. I am surprised that you have referenced one. The security code can be turned on by a dealer tech if asked. Look on the underside of the hood. Techs often write the code there if it is implemented.

If the code was implemented by Jaguar a dealer can recover it via using the VIN . . . and your title document.

One thing that may help, and may not be mentioned in the "How To" sections, is that you can remove the bonnet struts by prying the clip outward, and open the bonnet nearly straight up! Insert a 3/8 bolt through the hinge and place a nut on each to hold it. It's a little wobbly, but secure. This gives a bunch more room for working on the front of the engine! When done, remove your 3/8" bolts, carefully lower the bonnet and attach your struts by pushing them in until the click into place.
