Default Tire alignment advice needed

I know that aligning the front end is very involved and I want to clarify I am only talking about left to right alignment of the wheels.
I just finished the passenger side of my suspension component update and my passenger side is way off of center(again, left to right) here’s the thing i encountered and i think is affecting it:
when removing the outer tie rod end, I had to heat the daylights out of it and use a vise grip on the tie rod to hold it.(wrenches kept slipping) whilst removing it I spun it around (tie rod, and don’t remember which way) I got the end off but the nut against it did not move. When putting it back together I tightened new end to the the nut, but it was way off. I heated nut and got it to move inward towards car, then spun tie rod to tighten. It’s still off center. Please advise on proper way to center both wheels left to right. Drivers side is good. I am scheduling a proper front end alignment at a dealer but it is 50 or so miles from me, and don’t want to cause any other problems for tires on the way there. Thanks

Take a measurement for the back of the tires as high up as you can, go to front and measure from the same height up and get the difference as close to 1/8 inch as possible, with the front being the smallest measurement or toed in.
That should get you to the shop. Be sure and get the steering wheel as straight as you can on the one you think is right.

Make sure your alignment shop centres the rack when they do the job.

Thanks guys, much appreciated info!! I have an appointment for Monday the 15th, one week from today at the closest Jaguar dealership from me, Hartford, ct about 30ish mi away. I spoke with service manager today and scheduled the appt, and told him show I replaced all upper and lower ball joints both sides, all upper and lower wish bone bushings, sway bar bushings and end links, tie rod ends, shocks and upper bushing kit (from PHOBMAN, phenomenal stuff btw!!!) and new wheel bearings… and he put me on hold for a min, came back and changed my original appointment because he wanted my car to be done by a tech there that has been working on jags for 20plus years, and has more knowledge of the older models, but was on vacation during original appt. That makes me feel a lot better. I will try to straighten pass wheel some for the ride there. Thanks for help!
