Just thought I'd ping here to see if there's any info floating around on this. My 98 XK8 has a very slow acting latch cylinder while the lift and lower cylinders work perfectly with no problems. The fluid was changed over to green a while back but I am suspicious that the latch cylinder itself still has some gooey yellow junk in there.

I have a spare latch cylinder from a 97 parts car that's clean but before used should probably be resealed. I checked around on having it done but the couple of places that do it are a little cagey about what they use for the rebuild and how long it will last (one of them even maintains they modify the cylinder to take their "better" seals). The warranty on the rebuilds is only 3 years which to me for an "improved" seal doesn't really seem like that long,..

I've looked inside the cylinder and it's pretty simple in there.

Has anyone on the list here done this before??? And know where to get parts- the seals?
