Visiting from the X-308 sub-forum. I'm going to list for sale here and on EBay a Mercedes transmission from a 2001 XJR. I'm confident can be used in a 2000 through 2003 XJR. Not sure about what years for XKR. Someone know the answer?

 

ALL SuperCharged 4.0 X100 and X308 Jaguars use that gearbox.

 

Thanks. The XKR went to a V8 in 1998 and to 4.2 in 03; so XKRs uses the Mercedes tranny I have from 98 through 02, correct?

 

The US did NOT get the XKR until MY 2000.
The 4.0 XK8 (normally aspirated) uses a ZF 5HP24 from 1997 to 2002.

The 4.0 XJR was available 1998 to 2003.
