Here's one on ebay -

It's a little pricey, but maybe you can look around for some more.

That one won't work on cars with 6 speed.
This seems to be a bit of a problem part. Not readily available new, and used parts hard to come by. You may have to wait until something comes up on eBay, but there are other options
- See if you can somehow repair it with some sort of plastic filler, sanding and a lot of patience. The silver graphic part may have to be redone somehow
- There is a gentleman on eBay that does a batch of "chromed" plates once in a while for a decent price. They typically sell out over time, and there are gaps in availability. His vendor account is listed on this forum. Use search
- Someone once posted pictures of a leather shift boot, just like a manual shifter. It covered this plate completely, and, from memory, wedged between the surround and this plate. Looked good to me, but of course none of the markings were visible, which may be a problem for someone driving this car infrequently (spouse, valet, etc.) as the dash does not show what gear you are in either.
- Post a wanted ad on the classifieds on this forum

The billet aluminum plates were offered by E-bay seller named solar_cigna He had both 5 and 6 speed plates available.I bought one of each for the wife's '01 and my "03. both were well made and came with installation instructions.

I do remember seeing his posts on ebay but can’t find them now. Do you have his contact information?
I messaged him on ebay a few months ago and got a response yesterday.
His response to me inquiring about them - "We have temporarily stopped producing them. I'am not sure exactly when we will start producing them again."

So sorry, would be the perfect solution Anyway thanks for your help.
What happens to these plates to cause them to go? Do they become friable with age, and just die without explanation, or are they damaged by the driver in gear selector semi automatic mode, or what? I am asking because my plate is fine, but if the future is likely to hold damage or disintegration of this part then a spare might be wise. I also wonder if there is anything I should be particularly careful of doing to avoid future trouble.
And...just a thought. I wonder if any other models have plates that could be made to fit. If the lever movement us the same, or close, perhaps....?

I think I was driving my 03 for a 6 months before i realized my sifter bezel was from a 5 speed! the transmission is a 6 speed, the detents are correct for a 6 speed, but that damned bezel!. Now I'm obsessed with finding the correct one.
Try Dan at Jaguar Heaven. I've had good luck with them several times in the past with some pretty obscure bits.

Mine was in a similar state to yours. I managed to remove the plate, make the missing pieces from a sheet of clear acrylic (home depot), epoxy them in, then lightly sand, spray black, then add the white line with a white marker. Its not perfect, but it looks better.
