Default True or False

After leaving the dealer to pick up a new battery, the dash flashed a yellow ASC for about 1 second. We have about 8 inches of snow on the ground and the streets are clear with some slick patches. I read the owners manual and is it true that while the trac control is active and there is any wheel spin the ASC will illuminate while the condition is present. There is no reason to be concerned other than this function is operating correctly.

I am somewhat dyslectic when it comes to reading and comprehending. Just want to be sure this is what it means.

Low battery voltage can also cause the traction fail message to flash during engine cranking.

Normal assuming this post is not the issue. But he says CRANKING ENGINE, so assume that means starting.

Thank you for the info. The battery was new and up to full amp. I was driving not cranking the engine.
