Default Trunk Options - Luggage Net

My car has a few original Jag options in the trunk. The Jaguar plastic floor liner, the small net on the oposite side of the CD changer and the big net at the back of the boot. Now, the big one seems to be dying slowly. It's sorta been disintegrating back there. I suspect that at some point it got wet with battery acid. (When my dad gave me the car, there was an old battery in the trunk and battery acid in the plastic liner)

I'm wondering, how much did that net cost? Where can I buy one to replace my current one?

Various-sized cargo netting is available from many different sources all over the Internet. Google "auto trunk cargo netting" and do some research on the available offerings. Far less costly to purchase a generic net, and probably better quality as well. Very similar concept to floor mats - the specialty companies offer much better quality mats than the factory-supplied mats tend to be....

Unlikely to be still available from Jaguar (Part Number JLM 21527).

If you can't find a US supplier, here's a source in the UK:

Genuine Jaguar XK8 XJ8 Trunk Or Boot Net Jlm21527 in Jaguar Accessories & Merchandise

Shipping cost on a small lightweight item like that would not be unreasonable.

I stole my wife's cargo net from her Murano. It works better in the Jag than the Murano!

Why did you allow that?

Ok, well then I guess I'll buy one of the generic nets. How much should I expect to pay for it?

I guess you have a point. I'm still not letting any woman I meet touch the driver's seat even with a ten foot pole. Hell, I don't even like it when my mom drives my car. I get too stressed out about it.
