Turn off valet button, when opening gluve box you get a beep

Dan,

Repeating the question doesn't give me any more information. Let's sort out exactly which model this is for a start.

Your forum profile shows Jaguar/ 2006/ XJ8 but you have posted in the XK8/XKR forum. Is that a typo and you have a two door 2006 XK8 or do you have a four door 2006 XJ8?

I turn off MY valet button by opening the boot lid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It all depends on whether you have a "mini valet" button, or an "executive valet" button :

Dan,

That's otherwise known as the X350. The factory code which helps to distinguish betwen the various XJ6's and XJ8's.
