Hi. I am about to buy a specific 2002 XK8 4.2. I need to get authentic confirmation that the top cam chain tensioners have been replaced with metal ones as per the Factory recall. Can anybody advise how best to do this?

Any help would be much appreciated.

 

This does not apply to the 4.2 engine.

No cam belts on the Jaguar V8 - they are chains- and on the 4.2 and later engines the earlier weak points on the timing chains, tensioners and guides had all been changed to a more robust design.
