Default Undertray plastic rivet substitute?

In trying to repair the wind deflectors on my 1997, I noticed some of the rivets holding the under tray to fascia were loose. Further examination and it seems the front of this car was apart before, and the undertray, was actually on the wrong side of the fascia / bumper cover.

I bought some plastic rivets from Harbor freight, but none of them seem to be the right size. As near as I can measure, the old rivets were about 6.25 mm, but given how the front end was assembled I am not counting on them being original. The options from Harbor Freight are 5mm, and 6.6mm. The 6.6mm will not fit through the bumper cover holes. I have the 5.5 in there now, but they seem likely to fall apart.

I see these on Mcmaster Carr, 6.25mm, 17mm head.

They look a whole lot less expensive than Jag P.N. KRA106001.
They appear to be the same size as the ones that were on the car. Does anyone know the size of the original rivets for sure?

I just bought a kit on ebay, came with a selection of rivets. Those l used are 30mm actual rivet length, head 17mm and body 6mm. You may get away with 6.25 at a pinch.

That looks exatly like the riveting tool that I got at Harbor freight. I bet it is the same kit, and rivets.

I have a huge assortment from eBay, Amazon and other sources that work great. They don't cost much for a bag of 50 or so. I have a number of sizes and styles and match them up and go. Take a look around and you'll fine so better fits. None of mine are that long, maybe 15-30 mm. TM

I saw some on ebay that were pretty inexpensive, but I needed them right away as I had plans for the car on the weekend.

I got these from O'Reilly Auto about $22 for a bag of 15. The head is a bit bigger than the old ones I took off, but they fit fine.
