In the ECU compartment of my Xkr 2000 YM there is a blue connector that seem to be of no use. Anyone who knows why it is there?



For vehicles equipped with something my car is lacking?

 

Adaptive cruise control maybe?

Yes, my car doesn't have the adaptive cruise control. So it was available from 2000 already?

 

From the diagrams, adaptive cruise looks like it showed up in 2000 MY. But...

...the only function of this module appears to take speed from the CAN bus and feed that speed into the nav unit. So, you'd only have it if you had a nav unit. Also, your blue 42 pin connector does not appear to have been used after.

 

My car was fitted with the nav option, so it seems to make sense
