Always boil the T-stat and make sure it opens before installing it. If you think the chances are so low it will happen to you - it has happened to me 3 times! A lot of bad ones slip through and then you start replacing everything else to avoid taking it to the dealer! Also the Jagbits Aluminum T-stat housing does not have the rib and all "correct" T-stats seem to fit.
