Default Welsh upper shock mount info

Well mine are worn out at 15 months.

Called welsh to request replacement. Donny spoke to purchasing manager. They are sourcing new rubber, I assume its to replace the crap we've been getting.

They have zero stock, expected on hand mid Dec 2022 to late January 2023.

Thought you might be interested.

READ THIS: BTW the mount can fail without losing ride height, I just found out the wrong way. Wish I had pulled the caps and looked at upper bolt position a few months ago. Well another lesson learned, ouch!*!

Who will trust Welsh Enterprise's "new and improved" upper shock mounts going forward? I certainly would not....

WJ, I specifically asked: "and when they come in, will you take care of me?" Response: "yes, I'm sure we'll work something out."

FYI, when I called, free replacement was my goal. Said I need you to replace them, bought in April 2021. He looked up the order, said please hold a second. Thats when he came back with the dates.

You know, the availability date is so friggin far out, I decided not to nail it down. I'll already have new 3 month old replacements in by then. I will follow up and let you know. Frankly I was surprised he didn't choke on my initial demand for an 18 month replacement.

But then, laughing to self, the $73 Uros will probably be mush by then right? :-)

Who knows! I have a set of theirs on my 2005 for 2 years now, but then the car has been on stands for 19 months
When I finish some things up I'm getting Wayne's units and not worry about them any longer.

My Welsh units lasted four years and 7,000 miles, replaced them two months ago. Ordered replacements from Welsh because they gave me a "deal" of 50% off. I ordered a pair that looked like junk, they apologized and said they I was inadvertently sent some core returns from another manufacturer. I will never purchase anything from Welsh again.I also purchased mounts from Uro and Jaguar and visually compared them all. Considering the effort involved in changing the mounts I opted for the more expensive Jaguar mounts. At least the factory mounts lasted 93,000 miles vs. 7K for the Welsh mounts.
