Default Welsh Wind Deflector

I received my wind deflector today and installed it. However, the pictures Welsh sent with the instructions are worthless. I had to reverse one of the smaller pieces of angle iron to have the proper width for the deflector bolts to mount. Has anyone else experienced this issue? I assume the kits are somehwhat universal and each install requires some changes in the set-up.

Curious about how well this works. Also do you keep it up with the top up?

I have the Adamesh one, Wind Deflector For Jaguar XK8 R which you can keep on constantly. This allows me to cruse at 70 MPH on the motorway. Also being 6 foot 1 inch tall I appreciate the reduced draft generally.

Default Wind Deflector

The weather is finally getting back to normal in Michigan, so I can cruise with the top down. I'll post the results after a few freeway runs. I plan on leaving it installed with the top up. It only restricts some rearview mirror vision, but I can probably fold it down rather that removing it.

Got the same kit from Welsh. Same issue with the photos. Finally tossed them and went at it logically. Wasn't really impressed with the angle iron, but it went together. I would prefer to have the screen closer to the seat backs and I think I'm going to fix up some sort of "bootie" to cover up the angle iron. I leave mine in with the top up just fold it back against the rear seat to keep it out of the mirror.

A) Will it work with a 2011 XKR vert?
B) How does it differ from the addon they have in the factory catalog? (that one looks cleaner)

Default Wind deflector

I am moderately satisfied with the Welsh deflector. The interior is a little quieter and the wind buffeting is decreased somewhat, but I expected more. It might work better if it mounted closer to the seats, but that would require different brackets.
